The single has been released on 16 Oct, only two days before the vision string quartet had received this years’ OPUS Klassik, Germany’s most renowned award for classical music.

The quartet performed “Samba” in the OPUS Klassik TV-show in German television (ZDF), accompanied by a string ensemble of Berlin’s Konzerthaus orchestra.

The vision string quartet says on the song:

Our track “Samba” is a relaxed good-mood number in which we hold the instruments like guitars and play them without any bows. We have created the song in just one day – the initial motif as well as the theme were a very spontaneous idea, which then turned into a complete song within only a few hours.

In the beginning, he did not have a title – and just called him “Samba” during the rehearsals. At some point, we were so used to the title that we simply could not change it any more – so it has now officially called that.”
